Two Girls; One Show: New work by me & Aiyana Udesen at GRSF! I’ll be at the reception, possibly wobbling around in new pumps in mimicry of this drawing:

Come by to say hello and feast your eyes upon animals and…PRETTY MUCH JUST ANIMALS. MOSTLY CATS.

I’m so slow to post things here, forgetting that this is, afterall, a Brag-a-blog. Here are a few winning endorsements of my comic, I Want You:
- Arthur Magazine prescribes a hearty dose of my comics HERE.
- Nice mention on Print Magazine’s blog (written by one of my favorite artist/comedians Emily Flake!) right HERE.
- Awesome author Jami Attenberg interviewed me for Large-Hearted Boy. And she writes about my teen bibs! Read it all HERE.

I’ve been a fan of Vice for years, so I’m thrilled to have three mentions in there this week…
1. My minis are in Sweet Nick’s Comic Picks.

Note: Mistakes We Made is a mini I made at the last second for the Mocca Festival, but I only made a few, so now I’m out of them. But maybe I’ll make more!
Nick’s other picks include some of my recent favorites: Crooked Teeth by Nate Doyle, Ramble On by Calvin Wong, and Jordan Crane’s Uptight.
2. A new exclusive Vice Comic, BAD PETS.

Introducing “Bernapet Peepers,” AKA a thing Austin English accidentally said that had me laughing for weeks until I finally painted her.
3. And an interview, which is mostly about The Lion King.

OTHER THINGS
- You can now follow me on TWITTER, where terrible puns and par-baked ideas go to rest until a later date, when they will probably be reheated and served in new comics.
- I’ll be at San Diego Comic Con this week! Details forthcoming!

HYAAAAH!

What the heck? I’m in a book!

“I Saw You…” is an anthology of hilarious comics based on missed connection ads collected from Craigslist, weeklies and newspapers. Edited by Julia Wertz of the Fart Party, it includes nearly 100 cartoonists such as Peter Bagge, Jesse Reklaw, Alec Longstreth, Sam Henderson, Laura Park, Aaron Renier, Janelle Hessig, Gabrielle Bell, Austin English, Calvin Wong, Jeffrey Brown, Minty Lewis, Joey Sayers, David Malki, Kazimir Strzepek, Ken Dahl, Mari Naomi, Abby Denson, Damien Jay, Sarah Glidden, and many more.
Read more about it here, order it from Amazon.
****************
I’ve got an interview up on Austin English’s blog, 20 Questions with Cartoonists.
I love reading the other interviews on there…learning different artists’ daily routines (draw ALL THE TIME, NEVER STOP) and the types of pens they like to use (PENTEL POCKET BRUSH)…

Check out the bizarre and beautiful interpretations on Covered, including my own monstrosity:

My comics page now has functional shopping cart buttons! If you’ve come this far, it must be because you want to spend some money.

Click the link above to see the whole design (and vote me a 5)!
I just submitted my first design for voting on Threadless.com. I’m hoping for a high score, but if these yetis fall short, I’ll just try, try again with creatures of a different fur!
Not that Threadless needs my endorsement, but there are some really fantastic artists on there. Since joining, I’ve bought shirts designed by the lovely Priscilla Wilson, the bombastic Joe Van Wetering, and am thoroughly tempted to get the latest from Luke Ramsey. And I’m not even much of a shirt person. Golly, what’s happening to me.

Hello everyone,
I intend to keep this page updated with my recent whereabouts, upcoming happenings, stuff I like, and, most importantly, what my art has been up to. Lately, it’s been up to heaps o’ trouble! Ok, not really.
Thanks for stopping by, stay tuned!
