Got a burning question about BoJack? Get your curiosity satisfied tomorrow during our Reddit AMA! 2pm PST/5pm EST.

Here are two other ways to get your fill of my yappin’:
I got to chat with the lovely Meighan O’ Toole on her "What’s Your Story" podcast . I went on a weird rant about having children and global warming that I’m not sure I actually agree with? Fun!
And I did a fun interview with Ashley Brooke Roberts for SparkLife’s Career Wha? where I outlined 10 steps to success and tried to be funny!

Drawn & Quarterly Acquires Lisa Hanawalt's 'Hot Dog Taste Test'

I’ve got a new food-themed book in the works! Hooray!

My entire Lucky Peach article about Wylie Dufresne and wd-50 is up on Medium today, if you want to read it! The sentence I’m most proud of is definitely, “…poop should be renamed “doof,” since that is food backwards.”
This piece also just won a 2014 James Beard Award for Best Humor, in journalism. Hooray!

ORIGINAL ART FOR SALE

There are all kinds of goodies available now that The Beguiling is representing sales of some of my originals. Check it out!

UPDATE: The Beguiling website is having some technical issues, so if you’re having trouble, just send a message to mail@beguiling.com and tell them which pieces you’d like to purchase.

And if originals aren’t your thing, I have some new prints available from InPrnt!

Juxtapoz magazine kindly ran an eight-page feature on my artwork in their January “Imagination” Issue! Huge thanks to Alex Pardee for asking me to be in this.

Photos by photographer Bryan Derballa, who was remarkably game to run around with Santa Claus and me after dark in Tompkins Square Park.

LISA HANAWALT will be at the Brooklyn Book Festival. INTERNET I KNOW YOU LOVE IT.

It is the successor to last year’s THE SEX PANEL except also this time it is about architecture and national memory and punny-ness. The slideshow that Anne Ishii put together is wicked, get ready for some stylish mind-blowing. Check it out:

BROOKLYN HISTORICAL SOCIETY AUDITORIUM

1:00 P.M.

Mundane/Profane/Profound: What We Draw About When We Draw Comics. Cartoonists talk about the weird, wonderful, and sometimes shocking choices they make in their craft. Ben Katchor (Hand-Drying in America) offers urban fables where daily details lead to socio/political revelations. Lisa Hanawalt's sexy/snarky one-pagers in My Dirty Dumb Eyes hinge on the vulnerability of showing it all. Miriam Katin's thoughtful, witty memoir Letting it Go explores profound loss and forgiveness in the context of teeth whitening and stomach troubles. Ulli Lust's punk travelogue This is the Last Day of the Rest of Your Life lays bare body and soul. Moderated by Anne Ishii, translator,The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame. Featuring screen projection.  Special thanks to Goethe-Institut New York.

I will also be signing at D+Q booths 141 + 142 from 12-1 pm with Anders Nilsen and  3-4pm with Miriam Katin. Come say hi!

“That’s the hardest part for me, just writing down ideas when I have them, no matter how stupid they are. I’ll always get ideas as I’m falling asleep at night, and it’s such a drag to get up and write it down, but I’m always glad when I do, even if it’s nonsense. Usually it turns into something.”
A visit with cartoonist and artist Lisa Hanawalt.

Thanks, Paris Review!
